UNESCO: The war deprived of education to 28 million children


"If the rich countries had military spending just six days to train, you could save 16 billion dollars needed for education for all," the report .... 
Twenty-eight million children denied education because of armed conflict that expose them to attacks mainly aimed at their schools or sexual violence, denounced the Unesco report published on Tuesday that calls for the revision of humanitarian assistance. 

Of the 67 million children in the age of primary education and not attending school, 42% or 28 million, live in poor countries where raging conflicts, stresses in the Unesco report, which is headed "The latent crisis: armed conflict and education." The figure of 28 million for 2008, made clear for the Unesco, which states that does not have statistics from previous years.From 1999 to 2008, 35 countries have been the scene of armed conflict, says Unesco,which found that a medium-scale conflict in a poor country lasts 10 years
